Major Development in the Rohingya Refugee Problem

1942 1,00,000 Rohingya Muslims were massacred during World War II. A large number of their settlements were uprooted.

(22,000 Rohingya Muslims repatriated By British India Administration in Rangpur [EastBengal India] Now Bangladesh.)

1948 Arakan Becomes a province of independent Burma. Since then Rohingyas have been driven out of Burma and now living in exile as refugees.

1974 Muslims in Northern Rakhine state (Arakan) are given foreign instead of National Registration card.

1978 'Dragon King' operation in Burma cause second refugee influx (2,00,000 persons).

1982 The Burma citizenship law of 1982, which violets several fundamental principles of customary international law standards, has reduced them to a position of defacto statelessness.

1992 Third refugee influx, 2,50,000 persons hosted in 21 camps in Bangladesh.

1993 By November, 50,000 refugee had been forcibly returned.

1994 UNHCR stops individual voluntary repatriation in August 1994, as thousands return to Burma each week. After this date reports forced repatriation increase.

2007 some refugees were resettled in Canada as part of a pilot resettlement programme.

Disagree....My view, The whole universe is variable, Heaven and Hell are constant (No time {which is parallel world})...The whole universe is born from one dot (his theory)..GOD can make Heaven and Hell which is bigger then our universe from without dot...My view, If you think GOD having a computer just created a database gave human an encrypted Number or Digit (we human) and the whole element of universe is commanding some entity table...He can make some fantasy software like Heaven and Hell (like virtual reality software)..Will put all human-being life after death.. "It was 1996. I was living with my wife in Arakan.Economic miseries,poverty, lack of jobs were the daily friends of the families. In addition, the harassment by NaSaKa was a bonus pain! Women were mostly vulnerable. Rape was an everyday incident. Besides this,farmers had to handover 90% of their crops to NaSaKa. Forced labour for construction works without any payment was another way of torture.And if anyone denied to work, he or she had to face unbelievable tortures. We had to pay gallons of patrol fuel to the NaSaKa on daily basis.Now you tell me, how could we stay there? But we did not make any plan to come to Bangladesh. One day, NaSaKa grabbed 11-12 families including me and my family and told us to leave Arakan at night. We had nothing to do, nothing to say.In October 1996 we came Bangladesh crossing Naff River at mid-night.

In mid 2006, 5 NaSaka people came to my house and demand 2 gallons of fuels and 3000 Kyat. It was absolutely impossible for me to provide these things. I told them with tears to forgive me and leave us.But do you know what they did? They told me that --- we'll leave, if you rape your own daughter (Fatima) right now in-front of us. otherwise we will set rough cane inside your little daughter's secret place. At that moment, I was crying loud and telling them I cant do this and I wont be able to tolerate that. But that bloody persons had no heart.may be they are the worst brutal creature in the world. They took away my little daughter and a rough cane was just about to push. Suddenly my wife took a bamboo stick and hit one of the NaSaKa. In action, they pushed their arms and fired. I then decided to do whatever they want from me but I planned acting. I tried to act as I planned. Oh lord, loud screaming...unforgettable for me.After a while , one of the NaSaKa came to me and took my daughter to him.He then raped my daughter along with two partners.My Fatima died.My Fatima died in front of me. I could not do anything. Just nothing. I lost my Fatima.I might be happy they killme also. but they didn't. They left the place that-you have only two options left. Either bear this sorrow or kill your little daughter and commit suicide.I then came to Bangladesh.I think you can now imagine why I am always in fear safety of my daughter.

Why Bangladesh should withdraw membership from South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) should join with-the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, (commonly abbreviated ASEAN) .No trade benefit and Regional cooperation..Where Indian GDP is $1.16 Trillion where Bangladesh GDP is $79.55 Billion.India treat Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan as Province or State of India.There is no economical growth with maintaining partner with terrorist effected Pakistan and Afghanistan. Bangladesh paying price also war on internal Terror (GMB) keeping India as lobby. Lots of intelligence expenses and also innocent human life.Democratic government should think state benefit.Where Bangladesh will ship building investment from Singapore and electronic technological investment from Malaysia.G20 member Indonesia member will help on all side.Tourism policy with Thailand. Natural resource from, if Burma will stable and democratic. Within few years Burma will have to change by her regional community foreign policy.Bangladesh can enter trade with Laos, Cambodia and also same GDP Vietnam.Can enter Bangladesh product open market economy in this region. lots of natural resource.Tourism sector can develop one entry visa in this region. BBC Lonely planet Reporter Bangladesh will be one of the top 7 tourism country in whole world.The world dont know what is coming. Cox's Bazar Airport Can be Air Hub Of this region.People from different region enter to China we can use Air hub and tourism Hub Cox's Bazar like Dubai.Big Aviation will come here we can grow our local Aviation too. 2 or 3 night free stay in this country.Bangladeshi skill worker will work more in Singapore and Malaysia.This region will be free economy and free visa like European Union. Im dreaming one currency ASEAN Dollar. Which will be equivalent to Australian dollar. Australia New Zea-land already sign free trade with ASEAN. ASEAN plus 3 (Japan, South Korea and China) will sign free trade agreement. The Whole GDP of this region will go up to EU.ASEAN will take member of G11( USA, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Japan,Canada, China,EU and ASEAN) . people thinking BRIC,USA,UK will come. Brazil, Russia, India and China.
